Prerna Centers

Empowering Lives. Nurturing Dignity. Inspiring Hope.

At the heart of the Indian Administrative Service Officers’ Wives Association (IASOWA) lies a steadfast commitment to compassion, service, and the upliftment of society’s most vulnerable. Guided by the belief that true progress is measured not merely by economic growth but by the opportunities extended to every individual, IASOWA has dedicated itself to empowering underprivileged women and students through education, skill development, and self-reliance.

The Prerna Centres embody this vision. More than training facilities, they are vibrant spaces where potential is discovered, confidence is nurtured, and lives are transformed. Every initiative is thoughtfully designed to equip beneficiaries with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to build lives of dignity, purpose, and independence.

Recognising that learning flourishes only when basic needs are met, nutritious mid-day meals are provided to students through the Akshaya Patra Foundation, ensuring that every learner receives the nourishment essential for healthy growth and effective learning.

At the Prerna Computer Centre, students are introduced to the world of technology through digital literacy, computer education, and essential technological skills, preparing them to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

The Prerna Design Centre serves as a hub of creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship. Women receive professional training in tailoring, stitching, embroidery, and garment construction. They are encouraged to create and market their own products, retaining their earnings and taking confident steps towards financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.

The Prerna Beauty & Wellness Centre offers comprehensive vocational courses in beauty, grooming, and wellness, enabling women to acquire industry-relevant expertise, pursue rewarding careers, establish their own enterprises, and become economically self-reliant.

Beyond vocational training, the Prerna Centres regularly organise workshops on contemporary and life-enriching subjects such as digital financial literacy, cyber security, artificial intelligence, health and hygiene, communication skills, legal awareness, and personality development. These programmes equip both students and women with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to navigate an ever-evolving world.

Learning is further enriched through educational day visits to museums, cultural institutions, centres of scientific excellence, and other places of national importance. These immersive experiences broaden perspectives, ignite curiosity, encourage experiential learning, and inspire students to dream beyond their circumstances.

At IASOWA, service is not merely an act of charity…it is a commitment to creating lasting change. Through the Prerna Centres, underprivileged women and students are empowered to realise their potential, achieve financial independence, and build brighter futures. Every life transformed strengthens a family, uplifts a community, and contributes to a more compassionate, inclusive, and empowered India.
